NYC Water Towers
Watertanks, an integral part of the New York City skyline, yet hardly anyone notices them, not even New Yorkers. The water that flows into Manhattan, comes from the vast reservoirs upstate, but arrives without enough pressure to reach the tall buildings throughout the city. A system of pumps carries water to almost every rooftop, where the tanks collect and then distribute waters throughout the buildings. Jynx secured full access to Rosenwach Tanks, one of the oldest tank building firms in the city. Our cameras follow two of their crews: the first team fixes some of the city's broken tanks, while the second crew works on a small platform 40 stories above the sidewalk, building and installing a new water tank for a building that is still under construction.
