The RPS World Cup is half sporting event, half Star Trek Convention. The contestants from 23 countries take it very seriously, and they are really into statistics, probabilities, and the psychology of reading one's opponents next move.

For German science show "Galileo", we wanted to find out whether RPS is a game of chance, or if there is a strategy that separates the winners from the losers?

We followed RPS champ Bryan Bennett as he prepares for the big night - in the streets and bars of Toronto, challenging people randomly, refining his strategy for the championship.

How does he strategize? Can he figure out an opponent's next move in a fraction of a second? And what does your first throw reveal about your personality?
