For their government client, Burgess Advertising needed a simple, cost-effective, yet powerful spot urging Maine Women to take advantage of free cancer health clinics and exams. We came up with the idea of using real interviews as an audio backdrop, where women talk about their fears and anxieties when it comes to screenings. The voices in the video are from interviews with the three actresses in the spot. We filmed the women in the waiting room, then overlayed their images in post- production with their voices in a stream of consciousness: This is what's going through their head as they're waiting. The effect: Even though we are working with actresses on a film set, the ad has a "real", original quality to it. Client: Burgess Advertising Airdate: ongoing TRT: 30 sec
