Efficiency Maine needed an attention-grabbing commercial to launch their new website: www.carbonfreehomes.org. After coming up with a concept and a storyboard, Burgess Advertising in Portland hired Jynx to produce, direct and edit the spot. The tricky part was to find the right balance between getting the "carbon footprint" message across without being too stern or condescending. Our idea was to lighten up the commercial by adding some elements from 1970s household cleaner commercials: A dominant voiceover, over-the-top sound effects and very expressive acting contributed the retro feel.
