Card Counting
When we first heard about card counting in Blackjack and the stir created by the book "Bringing Down the House" , we knew it was going to be a great story for TV. "Galileo" agreed. We never thought it would be possible to secure interviews with members of the original MIT card counters team, but Dave and Mike, who perfected this system in the 90s, were all game. Now semi-retired, they make their money by coaching others (see www.blackjackinstitute.com). We follow Mike and Dave through the dazzling lights of Las Vegas as they recount how they beat the odds and won a few cool million playing Blackjack. We see how they teach an eager amateur player the science of counting cards in a secret training session. We go behind closed doors to examine the Bellagio's tight security system and see how casinos combat the evergrowing legion of card counters. And, we pin the pros against some casual Blackjack players to see if their strategy really works in a Blackjack tournament. Client: Pro7/Galileo Airdate: 12/14/06 TRT: 12:40 min
