Eric Raz saves people – from the heat, during the dog days of summer in New York City. He’s one of the city’s emergency AC repair guys, and in July and August, he repairs and install air conditioners 24/7. With his loyal crew – Joe, the AC specialist and Ronnie, the driver, he rides the streets of Manhattan in a beat-up minivan waiting for the phone to ring. But in the summer, he doesn't have to wait long. As calls of near desperation come in around the clock, Eric can pretty much charge whatever he wants. Residential and business customers alike are so grateful for a bit of cold air they don’t even check the invoices. We followed Eric and his gang for two days on their New York adventures, taking us from a leak in an artist's studio to a steamy hip-hop agency, fixing AC's and leaving behind a trail of relieved and smiling faces.
